Saving Princess Elizabeth with anti-stink oranges

  My favorite part of our recent Rescue Princess Elizabeth birthday party was the anti-stink oranges. Our mission was to rescue Elizabeth, whose cruel sister Mary had jealously locked her in the Tower of London. To get to the Tower of London, though, I told the girls, we had to traverse some VERY stinky streets. Sanitation was not great in the 1500s. So we made pomander balls, sticking cloves into oranges, to hold up to our noses. The girls LOVED this, and held up their oranges bravely as we went to save our princess....
